It can be discouraging now a days to shoot for the stars. Our fear of rejection can limit our ability to succeed and hold us back from living a better life. It does however serve a good purpose. It shows us how to think wisely. To not act at the spur of the moment, and really give our ideas some thought. The combination of the two elements help us make the best decision. A decision that pleases both sides of our soul. Too much of one side can result in the undesired results. Sorrow, pain, and dissatisfaction; things we consider before making any decisions. Things that control our everyday lives and influence the decisions we make.
The fear we have embedded deep in our souls holds us back from doing the things we are unsure of. It is a good element to have. It reminds us that there are repercussions to our actions. It stops us from walking into walls of fire or jumping off cliffs without the proper protection. Oh to often, our fears prevent us from things we should do. We fear the repercussions and the rejection that might come along with taking the chance and putting ourselves on the line. Sometimes there aren't any immediate results that would convince us of making the decision. That life right now is good and making this choice wouldn't really make a great difference. Actions however speak louder than words and its is better to take the risk than wondering what could have been.
Our ability to reason is what makes us different from the animals. We are able to think and consider the effect of our actions, and make the best choice. It is what drives us to be better. To be stronger. To be precautious. It is what allows us to not only act, but act properly.
The combination of these two elements is what pleases our soul. Making the decision that gives us peace at mind. That serves as a solution to our troubles and the world we are faced with.
Sincerely, Hector Guzman
