Today was a weird yet moving day. I had awoken up late and was unable to go to school. As I sat in bed I was horrified to hear my mother's lecture on how I have changed for the worst and how my bad habits will one day come back to bite me. I eventually did wake up and faced the lecture that awaited me. This however was the note that moved my day.

I went on my computer and decided to check my email, visit the site, etc. I got the information I needed and started to work on the the site. As I was working I started to think back at the night before and the last couple of nights and the things I have done in the last couple of days. I started visiting some of the other social networks I often go to and came to the conclusion that is what has consumed my life. That this website, this world, this community I am helping build has become a frame in my everyday life.

It has motivated me to go after the things I want. To work hard if I expect results. And that I am not the only one who is playing this game. That we live in a world were the internet can bring together people from all parts of the globe and have them work together to do something great and wonderful. That technology and education are two things with similarities so shocking that it's a surprise when you hear of a school that rejects such ideas.

Videos, picture, and blogs have molded our world and will continue to mold our world as the years go on. Technology has created a situation where not one person can tell you what they expect the world will be like in 10 or 20 years from now. All this information however needs help. Help to maintain pure and help to remain alive. It needs the help of each and everyone of us who enjoy the service that it provides.

I've said in the past that I have a strong passion for education and innovation in the 21st century. That I love my job as an intern at Education Connection. Where as an intern at Education Connection I help create online courses for students interested in innovation and 21st Century Skills. And that since participating in the 2008 Summer Camp Experience, I have been driven to spread new opportunities to China and its students through the use of the Ningxia Dragon Student Ambassador Website.

These reasons and the epiphany that I came across today make me see more and more why I would want to take a field in education rather than endocrinology. This decision however cannot be made out of one day's excitement. The decision should be made after some heavy thinking in which I have weighed the pros and cons to both sides. I'm sure that in the end I will make the right choice and do what's best.

Sincerely, Hector Guzman
