The idea came to me after after one Saturday night when I was talking to my brother, thinking about the future, and things we would want in it. Now, to get something straight, we've been blessed. Me, my brother, and my two sisters were born to two loving parents who nurtured and encouraged us to be the best we can be. These values are something I hope to one day teach to my children as they venture into the world and establish their legacy.
However, we are human, and greed is a part of us; a home library is just part of my greedy side. Of course I would need my own house first, but the library comes with it; no matter where I go. It would be filled with books from the floor to the ceiling on all sort of issues: science, history, politics, philosophy, mathematics, everything. It would be in an excluded part of the house; away from all the noise and traffic that inhibits one's ability to think. The word, biblioteca, would be posted above the entrance. Arm chairs, books, and peace would set the ambiance. It sounds too good to be true right?
The books would be organized according to the Dewey Decimal System (for a complete list, click here)
This idea doesn't seem impossible, but a bit of a challenge when it comes to collecting all the books and moving them back and forth as time goes by. However, it would be pretty sweet. Hopefully my wife has no issues with the idea. *gulp*
Sincerely, Hector Guzman
