So today was Roxbury. Roxbury is kinda like Project Search but at a larger scale. We go to an actual park, examine trees, the quality of life at the lake and hike for about a half a mile. In other words, a nature lover’s paradise.
So at Roxbury, we did some tree identification. My group did alright but that was just the beginning. From there we went down to the river. The river was huge in comparison to the one we visit for Project Search. There were rocks, water, and wildlife everywhere. You could look over your shoulder and lose yourself at the beauty you were looking at. We didn’t go far into the river, just far enough for your leg to get soaked.
Eventually we did make our way out of the river and onto the hike. The hike was really what made the nature aspect of this trip so great. We ran up and down through forest and cliffs. People fell and others laughed. I on the other hand couldn’t stop thinking about you, Chen qi yi, and how awesome it would be to bring you to a place like this. There were parts of the hike that were simply jaw dropping. Looking over into the river as you hiked against the cliff side, slopping down the edge as you made you way through the forest, seeing nature in its most purest element made this trip just awesome.
The people who went on the trip were also pretty cool. It doesn’t really match the experience on Project Search but it does form a considerable threat when you consider Kenhji and the things he did. I just was thinking too much about coming to this place and doing more of the things I didn’t have a chance to do the first time.
Sincerely, Hector Guzman
