So today was Project Search and it was pretty fun. Interesting and cool all at the same time. The night before however was quite the opposite. I had an English assignment due and I couldn’t get online no matter how hard I tried. I had finished most of it at home and planned to get the picture I need and hand it in as soon as I got into Mancuso’s room but as it turned out the school was invested with virus and no flash drives could be read nor could anyone connect to the Internet.
Once I got into Mancuso’s room, I tried all I could to get the assignment to Walker (oh wait Ms. Walker) but it looks like it wasn’t my day and I really didn’t much of a chance explaining what happened to her so I probably got a zero. (We’ll pick up on this story in the future, but for now Project Search)
So around 8:00 a.m. we start making our way down to the lobby as we await the bus. I was pretty excited about the trip (even though it was raining) because I was gonna be going with new people and I was gonna be doing something I like or at least I thought. On the trip there were a shit of freshmen and girls that I have no idea why they were being so weird. Saying awkward things, speaking in seductive ways, I couldn’t resist. I was casual and at the same time pretty funny.
I don’t expect anything from these kinds of girl seeing as they’re just here for fun. I’ve come to realize that not all girl want a serious relationship or even a relationship period. Some just wanna have fun. But I digress.
So on the bus ride, I’m sitting next to the window when a fly suddenly zooms in and scares the shit out of all the girls on the bus. For the next ten minutes, it’s total chaos as you have teachers trying to maintain order and student playing exterminator as they fling flip flops and who knows at a bug that meant no harm.
I really shouldn’t mention names but there are some girls on that bus that are pretty “funny” and there are others who you wish were a little more open. But I digress.
So to wrap it up, we eventually finish our mission at the lake, grab lunch (I got a free mocha sundae), and make our way back to Daly’s room where we start getting down to the nitty gritty. There we bond, crack jokes, and fail to accomplish what even the dumbest scientist could. Oh well, I was just there for the fun. School has been running me dry.
Sincerely, Hector Guzma
